When you find yourself in the middle of your current project, thinking about the next one - I think it's safe to say this is either art obsession or knitting fever.
Well underway on Sneaky Noro #2, I was thinking about stopping by my favorite knitting stores and checking for spring Noro...
I'm at the point that I would be content living in a tree house doing nothing but art for-the-rest-of-my-life :)

Stepping out of my comfort zone of knitting, sewing & photo art. After shelling a huge box of crayons, I pulled out my embossing gun and an 11-14 canvas.
My brother is very fond of Our Lady of Guadalupe, so I decided to see if I could at least attempt a portrait of her using melted crayons.
Not quite finished yet, but surprizingly found that I am loving this!

I was invited to assist with an art project in my studio. Dalton has some ideas. We talked about some possibilities. He's "not creative" (?) What does this mean?
Everyone is "creative."
I started to realize what he was doing was thinking out loud, processing verbally. It's tempting to take over... I have to remember this is his way of processing. All I added was a few elemental components: opening the window in this room, a little Dave Matthews & s p a c e.
The end result?
Nothing short of a powerful sentiment for this Valentines Day. Wow.
Today, I encourage you to spend some time creating, allow a breeze to come in through a nearby window, turn on your favorite music: see what happens.

After my first Sneaky Noro Scarf, I bypassed all the other projects that were started to begin yet another one. Something about this yarn is beautiful yet unpredictably rhythmic. Can ya tell I ♥ it?
But I do need to get back to business on finishing my other projects. At this point, I'm afraid to count & organize them in fear of facing the truth of how many there might be. On that note, how in the h*ll can people say they fear the thought of being 'bored with nothing to do' when they retire?
I guess you could say knitting, painting, sketching, sewing: these are all remedies for me. It helps manage my time when I'm forced to wait at Dr. appt's, during breaks, waiting for our kids, flying, red light... well, you get where I'm headed. Besides, one day I will need all of these handmade knits for cooler climate - God willing.
Well dears, that's right. It's.that.time.

I love it when I can get away and relax a bit with friends. This place always seems to be waiting for us. What I love & look forward to most of all is what happens when we visit. Coffee over convo's regarding our families, knitting & glasses of wine while getting news of new members of the family to arrive, friendship make-ups & farewell-for-now's.
There is history here.
No one minds that I need an extra glass for my yarn or we're still talking as they begin sweeping the floor.
Well, for now duty calls. I do plan however to continue my melted-crayon artistic endevor. Ever since I saw this on Pinterest, I can't seem to stop trying new ways to do this. My hope is I'll discover more innovative ideas for Christmas ;)

Breakfast with Mom & Sister @ Liberty Market, I love this place. Everyone there has a comforting, friendly smile when we walk in.
I wish I was blogging this while enjoying a Cortadito there now... ugh.

Of course, I knew it wouldn't take long. I'm off & running with my 3rd Noro scarfy; among all the other projects I have in the works. Why do I need to start this now? Good question...
This is on my listy of t2d (things to do) this week: Make a full and complete list of my projects & inventory aka my "knitting status." Actually, it sounds like a job for Suri.
Also, I was asked to help with a Valentine & anniversary gifty for a friend-of-a-friend. Even with all that's going on, of course, I was hook-line & sinker. Having an art obsession helps ;)
A bit more work each night this week & we should be done by the weekend. I love watching this process, you'll be surprised when you see the end result ♥

These visits never seem to last long enough. True Food Kitchen, Liberty Market & Jessica's are all staples when we're together. Delicious food, coffee talk, crafting & a lot of wishful thinking out loud.
How is it that 2 1/2 days seem more like an afternoons-worth of time. If only we didn't have to break for sleep ;)
