My sweet GrandPapa used to take me in hand to the backyard quite often to keep him company while he oil-painted. Innumerable hours where spent watching that brush. He used to tell me that keeping your hands busy, kept your mind free of worry.
I now know why this was so valuable to him; I feel the exact same way.
That being said: I have so much I want to do in my studio: paint, sew, knit and rearrange...
My needles have been on fire with small projects lately. This makes me happy. This was my first attempt at the Noro scarf: Oatmeal & scraps for colourway.
After this project, I have officially sworn to learn the Norwegian Purl :)
For those of you that are curious: The recipe for this was easy as 1-2-3.
CO 28 ST
K1P1 to end of each row, on every single row (back and forth)
Leave enough yarn to cast off.
Thats it! I've had a number of folks ask about the last stitch of every row (to avoid curling). This scarf doesn' curl at all, so no worries :)
Another quicky project: old faithful, the Bozeman Cowl. Made with an unmarked Malabrigo I purchased at ImagiKnit in SFO. This was made with only one skein - Yay! I love this colourway. It's so soft, I can barely feel it :)
Now, I'm off the clear away all the clutter and create some magick today!
Wishing you a Wonderful Wednesday,
♥Tajita
PS: Whats keeping your hands busy these days?
