Have you ever noticed that a great-idea isn't as simple as that? I sat down to begin the planning stages of the workshop and then it slowly hits me: I'm not just moving things around. As it turns out, I'm transitioning this space from a workshop/gift storage/art studio to a fully re-decorated area to create & design in.
Make sense?
Here's what I have in mind...
West Wall: This will be covered with black frames from the top of the ceiling downward. Varying in size from 11x14-5x7, containing carefully selected photographs of our children, family & friends.
South Wall: This entire wall will be covered from ceiling to floor with one solid piece of mirror -making this room appear much larger. It stands adjacent to the only wall with a window - therefore creating more natural light (!!!) A shabby-chic chair and table w/lamp goes here too!
East Wall: John Mayer's video Heart of Life - Live is the inspiration for this :) I apologize for the poor quality, but you get the general idea :) A back drop of forest-y sihlouette against a graduated muted neutral yellow-mediterranian blue-deep purple sky. Perhaps a few carefully revealed firefly's skipping about through the trees.
North Wall: Not sure. This may need to stay this way as I like the set up. Either way, it'll be the last wall to be done.
Well??? Any suggestions?
In the mean time, I've lost count on how many of these I have made.Of course, my model helps. He loves these :)
