Tuesday brings a bit of 2-do in the creativity department. Our Gypsy Portal needs to be finished & I have a unfinished wood table that will most likely be a gift :) This is what I'm up to today...
Over this past weekend, I began (and finished) one special gift for my dear friend. I know, I know. I can't believe it either. But it went by so quick, even on 7's!
The cowl was made from pg. 85 of More Last Minute Knitted Gifts and the wristers pattern is here.
You will need: size 7 DBL point needles & Noro Taiyo #2 Green, Black, Peach
*note: 1. I had 2 skeins of this yarn, this is why the gloves look similar colourway-wise, 2. I pulled out all the peach color :)
Cast on 32 stiches, be careful not to twist, join in round
Knit1, Purl1 ribbing X 10 rows
Begin knitting all stitches X 10 rows
For the next 13 rows knit one row, purl one row back and forth to create thumb opening
Begin knitting in the round x 10 rows, closing the thumb opening
Next rows Knit1, Purl1 ribbing
Cast off, tie in ends.
I love that I got all excited about doing this project & didn't lose any steam until the last stitch was tied off. Yes :)
I also dropped by my favoreete place these days; this is my 2nd love :)
Well, here's hoping today has a little surprise in store for you...
See ya tomorrow~
Tajie
