Good Fridays::

Just a little boost in the inspiration department. Thought it would be nice to begin the weekend on an encouraging note ♥

Why is it that Liberty Market is a must on weekday mornings? I love this place.

Love it this idea so much, it may finds it's way into my blue sweater. We'll see. For those of you joining me on my knitting adventure: My hope is that by Monday morning, I will have made significant progress.

A bit of chicken-scratch after breakfast this morning :)

BTW: With the help of my daughter, the pumpkins have been successfully transferred outside. However, just to be on the safe side I planted one seed today that will only be grown inside.

For those of you following the capelet-turned-sweater progress, I knitted for 2 hours straight last night and can now say, I am on my 2nd hank of yarn!
The day is calling for a mix of have-to's and want-to's. Gonna get started :/

Fridays::

 You may be asking yourself what is this? Actually, I was asked to cast the pregnant belly of gal just about to deliver. I hadn't casted a belly prior to this; just my children's faces :) So, was familiar with the material, not so familiar with the area to be casted.

As it turns out, not too much different at all :) This gal plans to add a bit of colour and art to it and have it displayed in her home. This brief project got me thinking: what else can I cast??? I have added this idea to my have-to list of artistic medium I would like to explore :)

Last night we had a lovely visit from my father-in-law, Steve. We celebrated his visit by having Tuscan bistro & sweet Reisling for dinner and enjoyed wonderful conversation. Loved it...

Who would have thought 3 simple ingredients would yield something worthy of the gods.

• heavy cream
• eggs
• & sugar

 
But wait; I'm getting ahead of myself.

I was invited to visit my niece in San Francisco about a year ago. We took in the city. Ate at a Vietnamese restaurant and later decided to get some ice cream.

Hmmm. What sounds good here: Lavender Honey? Earl Grey? Salted Caramel?

Salted Caramel... MmHmm; that's it.

By the time we left, the line was literally out the door, down the block & around the corner.

Need I say more?

For those of you that know me, you know I am not a cook. At best, I am a baker. But this my friends: I have mastered :) Consuming even a single lick is comparable to having some sort of spiritual experience.

So, in light of the fact that Mother Nature does not observe Spring here in the southwest & summer is nearly upon us: I say, let the scooping begin...

Also, I am still in the process of busting my stash. I will be sharing this with you next week. I'm so close to finishing all of my current, simultaneous projects! (Only to begin another round right after of course :) My good friend Enchanted Mama couldn't have said it any better.

I love these very words for they are so comforting. What makes them so inviting is what surrounds you at the time they are spoken:

• Dear friends
• Delicious coffee
• Homemade apple pie
• Burning cedar in the fireplace
• Long talks about everything & nothing (including the occasional punch-line you can never get to because you're laughing so hard... for those that know me, I am getting better about this.)

With Christmas just a few short days away, it reminds me to slow down a bit.

And so I shall.
