Here at UG we have been quite busy; traveling. We've taken cars, planes, trains, subways, trolleys, buses, street cars and the like.

 I must say, San Francisco is always quite a challenging city to take in. There is more good food, sweets & knit shops, that it's difficult to know where to begin. The CrepeVine, 3Twins Ice Cream Shop, the Chinese food place by Gabby's house: OH MAN! It was rather wonderful...

We had the privilege of touring the SF State Theatre Dept. It was breath-taking! It also inspired some studio alteration. More on that to come...

We retuned to ImagiKnit ---> :D

There is something about walking into this particular store that can make 2 hours seem like 15 minutes. Great company and amazing selection of yarn! I was in Heaven!

We also trotted over to Davis University for their annual Whole Earth Festival.

Love this.

A lovely weekend filled with travel, great company, amazing food, laughter all around the table, knitting, fabric shops and yet another plethora of memories to cherish.

Later this week I'll be showing ya what's been on my needles and most of all, what on schedule for the studio...

I simply love the idea of traveling. The thought of seeing something new, trying new foods and speaking the universal language of smiles, hand shakes, hugs.

My son traveled to Ireland for a second time during this past summer with his cousin Gabrielle; this time for 10 days. The weather was beautiful, the local villages were warm & welcoming, the food was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s and the sights: well you can just imagine.

Dublin ---> Kilkenny ---> Cork ---> Cliffs of Moher ---> Belfast ---> Dublin. How wonderful!

As the holidays are quickly approaching, it makes me think of my own traveling plans. I would love to see what a snowy evening in London is like. Or a midnight mass on Christmas Eve in Spain. Perhaps 2011 will grant the opportunity of turning my wish list into my To-Do list.

Update: My 8-handmade-gifts-before-November-30th-goal is coming along quite nicely. All is coming together beautifully. The task has been made much easier by having good company. The studio has been a great space for gathering: to knit, do homework, discuss matters at hand and perhaps a mid-afternoon nap...
